Welcome to the Bronx Children's Museum!

To help you plan your visit and ensure a wonderful experience for your family, we've gathered all our essential visitor information on this single page. From our hours and admission policies to what you can expect during your time with us, everything you need is right here!

Adult/Child Ratio: At least 1 adult per 3 children.​

Rescheduling

Reschedule via ticketing@bxcm.org.​

Your rescheduled date must be within 30 days of the original visit date. Please include your order number and the new date/time you would like to request.

Cancellation / Refund

All tickets are non-refundable.

If you must cancel, please contact us no later than 24 hours before your scheduled visit.

Bronx Children's Museum provides several options for courtesy discounts and access opportunities to eligible visitors, including Cool Culture, NY Culture Pass and EBT/SNAP recipients.

Amenities & Museum Rules

This section details everything you need to know for a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience inside the Museum, from available amenities to our house rules.​​

Food & Drink Policy
No food is sold or permitted in exhibit areas. You may eat in the reception area. Closed water bottles are allowed throughout the museum.
Stroller Information
Stroller parking is available in the coat check area. They are generally not allowed in exhibit areas, but you can request a pass from the front desk if needed.
Water Play Areas
Smocks are provided, but they aren't waterproof! You may want to bring a change of clothes for your child to ensure maximum fun.

Footwear Requirements
Shoes are required everywhere except "The Nest" exhibit, where socks are mandatory for safety and cleanliness.
Accessibility Features Diaper changing stations are in all restrooms. Sensory backpacks are available at the Welcome Desk for children with special needs.
Photography
We take photos and videos for promotional purposes. Your entry serves as consent to be filmed.
If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify staff at check-in.

Health & Safety Policy

Please note that security cameras are in use at all times.

Adult Supervision Required
We have strict adult-child ratios.
We require at least one adult for every three children to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment. 

Families not in compliance of this ratio will not be permitted to stay in the museum.
Appropriate Conduct
To ensure a safe experience for our youngest visitors, disruptive behavior like running and yelling is not permitted in exhibit areas.
Toy Sanitation
Toys and exhibits are sanitized throughout the day. Please place any mouthed toys in the designated cleaning bins for proper sanitization.
Prohibited Items
For the safety of our guests, weapons, animals (except service animals), tobacco, alcohol, and illegal drugs are not permitted on museum property.
