Bronx Children’s Museum GreenArts Afterschool Program featured on News 12 Bronx
For more than four years, our own Museum Teaching Artist Ricardo “Luss” Nigaglioni has led Bronx Children’s Museum’s GreenArts Afterschool Program at CS 55, teaching 2nd and 3rd graders in the art of writing, recording, editing and producing their own music. The program, designed to increase children’s self-confidence through the arts, writing and public speaking, has given the students an opportunity to explore hip-hop as a means of championing for healthy living, healthy foods and physical fitness.

We are excited to see Grandmaster Caz and Melle Mel’s organization, Windows of Hip-Hop, along with Bulova, announce that they are awarding CS 55 with a brand-new recording studio. The project was announced at a Grammy’s brunch this past week.
BxCM’s ongoing GreenArts program at CS 55 program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with NY City Council through a CASA grant from NYC Council Member Vanessa Gibson
