We Had a Blast at "Healing with Play"

 

BxCM had an absolute blast this past weekend hosting "Healing with Play"! We dedicated this special play day to Children's Grief Awareness Month, proving that even when dealing with big feelings, the power of play can bring comfort, connection, and yes—lots of fun!

Thanks to our amazing partners, the New York Life Foundation, Association of Children's Museums, and Knology, we created a super supportive spot where families could laugh, share memories, and build resilience.

​

The highlight of the day? Our special guest star, Elmo from Sesame Street, stopped by! Elmo brought major smiles and reminded everyone that it’s okay to feel and explore emotions through play.

Families also enjoyed:

Story Time Magic: We read the wonderful book The Golden Sweater.

Caregiver Goodies: We handed out valuable resources from the New York Life Foundation and Sesame Workshop.

Book Fun: Everyone got a book to take home!
