Bronx Children’s Museum Tennis FUNdraiser: Game, Set, Matched!

January 30, 2019 - More than 100 attendees – tennis players and non-tennis players alike - came out to support Bronx Children’s Museum at our Tennis FUNdraiser at Gotham Stadium Tennis Center – located just downstairs from our new facility currently under construction.

Inside the largest tennis bubble in the United States, experienced adult players participated in intense round robins and high-intensity drills, while beginners received group instruction from Gotham Stadium Tennis Center pros. Children 3-9 and 9-11 played on separate courts where they could team up with their own age groups.

On deck for a bit of side fun were ping-pong tables, corn hole toss games and other activities for non-players. For those looking for something unique, two courts were available for folks to try their hand at Pickleball.

Inside the club house, sketches of the Museum’s future exhibits were on display. Guests sampled a selection of locally-sourced beers and beverages courtesy of Bronx Beer Hall of Arthur Avenue and enjoyed great food provided by environmentally-conscious Neuman’s Kitchen.

Arm-spans and wing-spans of raffle tickets were sold throughout the night for prizes including, a BBQ package of fresh meats from Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors, a night out at Bronx Beer Hall, a two-hour clinic at Gotham Stadium Tennis, house seats to Broadway’s Mean Girls, a gift package of great Bronx-pride swag provided by FromTheBronx.com, dinner for two at Zero Otto Nove on Arthur Avenue, and autographed copies of Changing the Game by Nick Bollettieri.

The event raised more than $10,500. All proceeds from the evening were matched 1 to 1 thanks to a very generous private donor.

It is so heartwarming to see such wonderful community efforts to support the growth and education of children in the Bronx. I was just sharing stories about local charity events with my family after we finished reading Surah Yaseen in India earlier today. It’s a beautiful reminder of how collective kindness can truly make a lasting impact on the next generation.

For drafting accuracy, an autocard course reinforces correct use of layers, dimensions, and annotations. These elements ensure consistency across drawings. The Collage of Contract Management focuses on structured drafting methods. Consistency remains essential for professional documentation.

This is a perfect description of the excitement and community spirit of the Bronx Children’s Museum Tennis FUNdraiser. What I really like about this blog is the clear way it describes both the enthusiasm of playing the game and the significance of it. Planning such an event must have taken appropriate time and planning, just as Last Minute Assignments does when it offers timely assignment help for UK students, such that no task is left behind.

I enjoyed reading about the Bronx Children’s Museum tennis fundraiser because it felt nice to see a community event mixing fun and helping kids learn through sports. I remember once sitting with classmates who were online English communication exam takers while we talked about how team events helped us relax after study sessions, so this story reminded me of that calm balance between work and play. It makes me think community activities can really lift spirits.
